Process Engineer Decoiling - Slitting
Your function
For the expansion of our production department, we are recruiting a Process Engineer Decoiling – Slitting who can assist us in optimizing our decoiling and slitting line. We aim for optimal industrial processes to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability, guarantee highest quality, and maximize profitability .
Your responsibilities are:
- Provide the work orders with all necessary programs, fixtures, cutting tools, and work instructions for the machining operations (50% of your job responsibilities).
- Manage process knowledge, work instructions, and procedures related to processes.
- Optimize machining processes with focus on quality, productivity, efficiency, cost, and safety.
- Manage possibilities and limitations of the current machinery. Report on opportunities and shortcomings. Implement proposals for optimization.
- Manage, test, and monitor new technologies.
- Calculate and manage standard times for man and machine in relation to machining processes.
- Provide technical support and training to operators, other departments, suppliers, customers and others.
- Draft and develop production methods and strategies; make calculations and drawings, and define necessary material allowances decoiling - slitting.
You will report to the Production Chief/Plant manager of our service center in Genk, Belgium.
Your profile
- To become an independent proces engineer one must have worked with an experienced operator for at least 6 months.
- Familiarity with aluminium, slitting and decoiling is a plus.
- A certification for overhead crane and forklift driver is a big plus. If you do not have this certification, you will receive the necessary training.
- Pro-active, initiative taker.

- Structured, focus on 5S, and lean team player.
- Open to shift work.
